Beautiful! Proof that even experienced, talented knitters run short sometimes. I would pick off the cuff and redo in something blendy, then knit the second one to match.

Nooooooooooooo!
Clare
Oh no!
Time to spin a little extra to match i think
Steph had this problem recently with a shawl. There was not enough yarn left to cast off, and hundreds of stitches to undo if she want to tink a bit. So between us, we blended a colour match and she spun some to, near as damn it, match the original commercial yarn. It worked a treat!.

Oooh, no!

If it were my project, I’d spin something coordinating for the cuff of the second glove, and not unpick anything, but I am not especially picky about matchiness. And the first glove looks perfect!
Anne
Oooooh! How frustrating. I’d be wanting them to match, near as poss anyway, but given that you’ve got such a variety of colour going on anyway you maybe could spin a bit more and dye it as near as you can and get away with it?
If not then my first thought was what Cari said.

Uh oh……………..

Uh oh.
And the first glove is sooooo perfect the way it is…
Anne
And the cuff is SO pretty with the cabling – you don’t want to unpick that!!

You don’t want a comment from me, because I’m the sort of person who suggests amputating a finger to save a few grammes of wool. So I’m saying nothing.
